Nice mice rice

The following just occurred..and involves Post-docs A and C, students B, D, E and other students in the student area of my institute….
(A walks into the student area)
A: “Did someone just come back from the mouse house?”
Me: [thinking yes, I did, but a while ago, and feeling sorry for B at the same time, didn't say anything]
A: “Cos it really smells of mice in here”
B: “I think its my lunch”
-End of conversation-

(A walks to mail room, beside the student area and where conversations can be overheard, and chats up with C)
A: “Don’t you think it smells like mice?”
C: “Yea it does”
(C looks around the mail room, totally oblivious to the fact that it was indeed the smell of B’s lunch)
C: “Are there cages here or something?”
-End of conversation-
B: -_-” “Does it really smell like mice?”
D: *nervous laughter* (implied “yes”)

Another student, E walks into student area
E: “Smells like mice in here!”
Everyone in student area bursts out laughing (excluding B)
Oh poor B… her fried rice really really smelled like mice apparently. (I didnt think so…)
