22 days to SG

I have 22 days till I return to Singapore for a holiday with Evie!!!!!!! It’s gonna be his first time overseas so he’s pretty thrilled.
In the meantime, I’m trying to do as much as I can in the lab cos my PhD confirmations are coming up in a couple of months!!! That usually marks the end of the first year of a PhD student’s life and involves a report including research aims, progress, timeline, hypotheses…etc… (2000-5000 words), a 20 minute presentation + 10 min Q&A by both the confirmation committee and general audience (i.e. other researchers). Then the committee will assess as to whether they think I’m “fit” enough to carry on my PhD project and become an official PhD candidate.
So… hv to start my literature review (shd have started a year ago! bah!). Okie….it’s already 9.08am… hv to rush experiments so that I can go to the orthodontist today cos the wire came off my last tooth!
